About the Band:

Milwaukee Ska band Something To Do is: Nate Tredinnick, Chris Holoyda, Brad Klotz, Chris Smith, Marc Kuntz, Alex Kayser, and Jessie Dills. Known for their infectious sound and DIY ethos, they have been blowing ear drums with their impeccable (and great smelling!) performances since 2003.

Past albums include Give Me Attention (2020) and Assemble! (2022). The latter features tracks like “First We Get the Money” and “For One Not All,” addressing social issues with a blend of humor and critique. Notably, all proceeds from Assemble! were donated to Indigenous Women Rising.

In 2021, Something To Do received a WAMI Award for Best World/Reggae/Ska Band.

Featured in the New York music blog, BrooklynVegan, their most recent album, Here Comes the Panic (2024), received acclaim for its direct and hard-hitting approach. About the album, Tredinnick said:

“During the time we wrote and recorded these songs, we got to play with a ton of great acts – Mustard Plug, Flying Raccoon Suit, Catbite, Joystick, Devon Kay & The Solutions, The Pilfers, The Von Tramps, Space Monkey Mafia in MPLS and many more – and I think it subconsciously got us thinking about really digging into our core sound. Over our last few albums, we’ve done a fair amount of stretching and have had some pretty long albums – this one really got the “all killer, no filler” treatment. We’ve been a band for a long while and we’ve put out plenty of albums and this may have actually been our easiest one ever in terms of writing/arranging/recording, which feels kind of insane! There is some sort of secret magic in having a group of people who’ve worked together for a long while still want to bring their A-games and still give a shit about new music and while I can’t claim to fully understand why it feels like we really hit the nail on the head here, it feels like we did.”
