About the Event:

Join Door County’s biggest record store—Bay Vinyl Records—and MUSE for an evening of music, community, and good vibes!

At Bay Vinyl Nights, each month features a different DJ and a new theme—from classic rock deep cuts to soul, funk, jazz, or indie favorites. It’s all about exploring great music together.

Bring your own vinyl (one per person, unless time allows for more) to share a favorite record that fits the theme, or just come to listen and hang out. We’ll also have board games, cozy vibes, and plenty of conversation for music lovers of all kinds.

Whether you’re discovering something new or spinning an old favorite, Vinyl Nights at MUSE are all about connection through music.

The Bay Vinyl Vision:

We strive to enhance appreciation of music of all genres by purveying new and used vinyl, CDs, Cassettes, and turntables.

Our standards are high, and as such, we curate all incoming titles for quality and good value for our customers.

The Bay Vinyl Story:

Our store evolved from our owners’ passion for music of all types. We saw an opportunity to create something special for Door County, since in 2017 there were no official vinyl record stores in the area.

We opened in March, 2018 to fulfill the need for a good vinyl record store in Door County, Wisconsin.

Much marketing and product research preceded our launch. Owners Alan Kassien and Steve Allen of Sturgeon Bay spent months readying the record collections already owned and acquiring thousands of top quality LPs and hundreds of 45s.

Co-owner Steve Allen is a lifelong pianist/organist and was classically trained. Steve’s favorites include Bill Evans, Shirley Horn, Mozart, Mahler, Brahms, Dire Straits, Beach House, and Avenged Sevenfold.

Co-owner Alan Kassien has a solid background in rock music, particularly music of the 1970s, when he was an avid listener, concert-goer, and part-time disc jockey. His favorite bands include Traffic, Led Zeppelin, Dream Theater, and Rush.
