About Nireus:

Nireus is violist/researcher Clara Takarabe @bergamotclara and composer/synthesist/multi-instrumentalist Anton Riehl.

Nireus’s broad musical style is influenced by their shared history in classical music, with deep ties to electronic and experimental music. You can hear influences from Palestrina to Shostakovich, Penderecki to Tan Dun, or the music of the medieval Andalusia running through their cinematic expressions.

In her symphonic career, Clara has performed and toured throughout the United States and around the world under the batons of Riccardo Muti, Pierre Boulez, Daniel Barenboim, Bernard Haitink, Gustavo Dudamel, Zubin Mehta and many others. She has a long recording history in classical, rock, jazz, rhythm and blues, experimental music as well as TV and movie scores.
