2nd Annual: Music in the Chamber
Chamber Music at MUSE, Winter 2026
Music in the Chamber returns this January!
We’re excited to partner again with the Peninsula Symphonic Band to offer a hands-on, coached chamber music experience.
Whether you’re brand new to chamber music or simply looking for peers to play with, we’d love to have you. We’ll match you with a group, help you choose music, and guide you through learning, rehearsing, and performing together.
Already part of an existing ensemble? You can still join—simply indicate your group on the Google sign-up form.
Benefits of Music in the Chamber
- Strengthen your overall music knowledge and expand your understanding of ensemble playing.
- Improve your musicianship, interpretation, and expressive skills with guidance from experienced coaches.
- Stay sharp during the off-season and maintain the progress you’ve made in your community band.
- Build motivation and keep practicing with purpose (we all need this at every stage!).
- Raise the caliber of your large ensemble by returning next season with stronger skills and confidence.
- Connect more deeply with fellow musicians—meet new people, collaborate across sections, or play alongside section-mates in a fresh way.
- Enjoy staying engaged with your music community on Monday evenings in a supportive, low-pressure environment.
- Experience the warm, resonant acoustics of the MUSE concert hall.
- Grow as a leader by taking on a more independent role within a small ensemble.
- Receive personalized coaching and direct feedback tailored to your playing.
- Strengthen your listening, blending, and communication skills—key elements of chamber music.
- Explore new repertoire you may not encounter in full-band settings.
- Reconnect with your instrument or build back consistency if you’ve taken a break.
- Gain comfortable, supportive performance experience through an informal sharing or end-of-session recital.
