The MUSE performance space uses a state-of-the-art DANTE (Digital Audio Network Through Ethernet) system. This allows MUSE to connect and control microphones and audio equipment in any part of the space via ethernet ports, which are located in every room.
The PA comprises four speaker columns—arrayed in a square to allow for both stereophonic and quadraphonic performances—and two subwoofers.
MUSE is also outfitted with a small recording studio, allowing for the recording of live performances and student works.
In addition, a stage lighting system and video projector will facilitate musical performances accompanied by video or vice versa.
Just as the AV system has been designed with flexibility in mind, so too has staging. MUSE employs a portable stage, which will allow MUSE to remove it entirely for larger events (like conferences or weddings), move it to the center of the room for concerts in the round, or split it in two, useful for festivals and concerts with multiple bands/ensembles.
